This aged Liu Bao (2006) is very much a rainy forest in a cup. There is lots wet wood and damp earth notes mixed in with dry leaves.

Now compared to other teas with a similar profile, I would say that this tea actually takes those flavors and makes them enjoyable. Very soft, smooth and surprisingly forgiving when brewing. If you haven’t tried an aged Liu Bao before this might be the one for you 🧐
